- 2026-02-08 10:43:31: Our AirBNB expires on March 6, so we’ve rented another Airbnb in Metz, France starting on that date. Metz was on a list of cities the ChatGPT recommended based on some of our criteria. It’s east of Paris near the German border. I’m finally going to try one of those German Biergartens, plus it’s near some other cities we want to explore, like Strasbourg and Annecy.
- 2026-01-15 14:19:44: We opened a French bank account today. The guy that opened our account said that in 2024 he opened about 10 bank accounts for Americans, but in 2025 he opened about 120 accounts. Almost everyone in 2025 said that they were moving because of Trump.
- 2025-12-25 20:31:15: Everybody (including Stewart) is back in Nice. Whew, that was a stressful 2 weeks getting Stewart's health certificate
- 2025-12-15 22:02:09: I’m back in the Houston area to get our dog back to France. It took too long to get the health certificate last time, so Stu missed the flight and had to stay in Houston. Hopefully we’ll be back on a plane by Christmas.
- 2025-12-10 05:16:38: I have to fly back to Texas to get Stewart, our dog. The cheapest flight I could find goes from Nice to Istanbul, Turkey, with a 16 hour layover in Turkey. I'm going to try to see some sights in Turkey while I'm there.
