- 2025-11-16 12:02:08: We finished the construction on the house and recently found out that we were approved for French residency! This gives us a one-year visa to stay in France, which is renewable each year, so we can hopefully stay indefinitely! Our flight leaves on Dec 4.
- 2024-12-07 12:12:28: We had a shell home built on our property. We're hoping to finish up the inside of the house by June so we can be set to leave again when Trump hits his dictatorial stride.
- 2024-08-19 14:48:26: Back in the Houston area. It’s nice to not have to worry about our next AirBNB for a while!
- 2024-08-14 09:00:52: We’re in Zagreb, the capital, to get ready to fly home. On Saturday we’ll fly from here to Amsterdam for a couple of hours, then on to IAH.
- 2024-08-10 09:01:39: We filed the paperwork for our Croatian residency visa. I set the start date for the residency to begin in January of 2025. The side effect of the start date being so far out is that our 90 day EU visa is expiring very soon so we have to leave the EU. We’ll be back home on August 17. We’re looking forward to seeing everyone and picking up our dog Stuart who’s been hanging out with Connie’s sister Carol.
